What I read
Bogged down a little in Unruly Son but went back to it, thought it picked up somewhat but then marked it down a bit for that thing of rather late in the day introducing backstory/new suspect. Note that it was a fairly early work with a series hawkshaw who appeared all of twice.
Picked up for re-read Gail Godwin, Father Melancholy's Daughter (1991), which I alas found not quite hitting the spot I was looking for, but still finished it.
Marian Keyes, Again, Rachel (2022) - I find Keyes is a bit hit or miss for me so I tend to pick up only if they turn up as deals on Kobo, which this did, and was actually v good.
On the go
Sara Gran, City of the Dead (Claire DeWitt Mysteries #1) (2011), which I saw being recommended elsewhere by somebody whose tastes have previously marched with mine, so I will see how this goes.
Up next
There're still more Robert Barnard mysteries on that top shelf.
