What I read

Finished The Good Ones, where I thought the armature was a bit similar to Everything I Never Told You though otherwise v different, and okay but not world-shattering, not sure I'd particularly look out for anything else by the author.

Two more of John D MacDonald's Travis McGees, Nightmare in Pink (#2) (1964) and Bright Orange for the Shroud (#6) (1965), gosh, ol' Trav could be a miserable git at times, wo wo modern life wo wo.

Rose Wilding, Speak of the Devil (2023) - nearly gave up on this, kept reading, felt there were certain implausibilities, not sure I shall seek out further works by author.

On the go

I discovered, in the course of mentioning it to somebody elsewhere, that Kristen Mahoney's Queer Kinship after Wilde: Transnational Decadence and the Family (2022), which I was very keen to read after attending an online seminar with her and having some correspondence, but which was hitherto only available in academic press hardback, was now available in paperback and ebook and indeed the Kobo price was particularly alluring, so I have been reading that and it is very good.

Up next

Hmmm - maybe Blood and Mistletoe....
