Conferencing continued

My panel was this morning: scheduled at 8.30 and in a room which turned out to a) be hard to find b) have a door on an alarm system that sirened every time anyone went in or out c) have noisy and chill airconditioning and d) was a very odd shape with weird acoustics.

Because we had been scheduled against some very strong panels in similar areas, we had been saying that we would be lucky to get an audience of 3. In fact, in spite of this and the above disadvantages, we had over 20, so were very pleased.

And (I think) the panel went over very well and evoked some good discussion.

Don't have the energy at present to try and write up the other panels I've been to, but I have been to some excellent panels (and some panels with excellent individual papers...).

brisingamen pointed me here ... I went to a panel in that same room yesterday afternoon. Sucked!
