That was a lovely evening.

I bought the elisem necklace (after some struggles with an ATM which refused my debit card, was picky about my credit cards, and would only issue limited amounts of cash in a single transaction. And charged). Here are some pictures. It is beautiful and resonant and haunting.

Then I went to dinner with 1crowdedhour, matociquala and truepenny: and we went out for, surprise! sushi! (this is becoming a motif). An excellent time was had even if the sushi place was out of plum wine (moan, whinge, is Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells).

Then to the panel 'Food, Fashion and Fornication', on which I got suddenly co-opted about halfway through (talking about Guardsmen as rentboys clearly made an impression), and this was all great fun.

Then drinks and conversation, but then decided that further partying would be too much and counterproductive.

I am SO HAPPY you got that necklace. I wanted it very much at the last sale, but did not get to it in time.

I was going to write a story around it--now there is at least an outside chance I will get to see it, and someone very deserving has got it! Yay!
