Hedjog has landed
Jun. 11th, 2008 07:36 pmIn currently wet and miserable Minneapolis.
Long tedious flight with significant phases of turbulence, also the plane cabin was terribly chilly - I thought it might be someone near me with the ventilation thing wide open, but someone I ran into who is going to the same conference said she had found it cold too. Also, NorthWestern Airlines catering seems to have a curious attachment to cheese: the main meal choice was some kind of pasta in cheesy sauce, or chicken - which came dumped in a cheesy risotto. Fortunately they had a spare what I suspect was the vegan option - couscous + veggies. The turkey sandwiches being served at the 'snack' point had cheese in them, too. However there was again a spare possibly vegan alternative.
However, other aspects of the trip went fairly smoothly, including my case coming round on the carousel just as I got to it after passport control.
What a long and complicated excursion it is to get from international arrivals to the shuttles, however - down and across and down and across and up.
Room seems okay - at least I can haz internet.
